Moments of light

Our most recent assignment was to create two moments of light in a window space using Cardboard and two other materials of our choice. This was a challenge because we were not able to use any adhesives to keep our cardboard in place. My main source of inspiration came from the moment when an object is placed in front of a light source, light can still travel around the object. The only other materials that I used in this project were reflection paper to strengthen the effect of light, and bond paper to diffuse the direct sunlight from the window itself.
This was the image of my project around 9:05 am when the Sun was still moving across the sky. One problem that I ran into was the fact that the reflection of light that my project received lasted only as long as the sun was in that one spot (which wasn't that long) It is evident from this picture which was taken at 11:10 am that as the day went on the reflection on the front of my project faded. However I feel that this project was a strong example of how light can reflect around objects.
This is also a sketch up model of my project.
